Technical guide
Prerequisites
- Kaligo requires internet access at least once to download the lessons.
Kaligo is available on
- iOS devices ( iOS 15 and above with at least 2GB of RAM) from the Apple App store.
- Android ( 8.1 and above with at least 2GB of RAM) from the GooglePlay Store
- The platform is available also on Chromebook devices (please contact us to discuss the best options)
Domain Whitelisting and ports
The following domain should be whitelisted to avoid the platform from being blocked by any firewalls:
You may also have to open ports 10002 and 10003.
If you have troubles with Kaligo's synchronisation (scanning QR code, receiving new lessons, no results on the teach dashboard...) please contact the school's IT first to make sure that eveything is in place to let Kaligo connect to the school's network.
Windows / Apple Mac Computers
The Web Portal can be accessed through a browser at apps.learn-and-go.com The following browsers are supported:
- Chrome 57 and newer.
- Firefox 52 and newer
- Safari 11 or newer
N.B. Does not support Internet Explorer.
Install Test
Follow the steps below to verify that the Kaligo functions correctly in your setting:
- Download and install the app on one of the devices that students will access the app on.
- Start Kaligo and select the “Student space” button.
- Scan one of the QR codes of your students which are available on apps.learn-and-go.com. These QR codes are visible on the page “_Administration - Classes and students_” by selecting the button “_School work QR codes_“
- Your student’s account is now authenticated and they can start to use Kaligo. The results of the exercises are pushed automatically on the cloud side.
- On your computer, connect to the Web Portal apps.learn-and-go.com with your browser
- Go to the dashboard on the page “_Monitoring - Students_“ and select the student corresponding to the used QR code at the step 3. You can check if the results of the exercises are available on the dashboard.
If you are able to complete these steps, Kaligo is correctly configured in your setting.
Device Permissions
On Apple devices, please ensure that the app has been granted the following permissions:
- Camera
- Microphone
On Android devices, please ensure that the app has been granted the following permissions:
- Camera
- Microphone
- Storage
These can be granted individually on each device, or through your device management dashboard.
Styluses
Kaligo can be used with fingers or a passive stylus, but we recommend to use an active stylus for a better writing experience. You can also use the Kaligo pencil (contact us to discuss the best options).
If using an Apple pencil, please ensure it corresponds to the generation of iPad purchased.
